To help merchants navigate this change, Bookkeep automates daily journal entries to separate sales tax collected and withheld. We’ve also added support for mixed tax mapping between Canadian and U.S. tax rates, making cross-border accounting smoother than ever.

Shopify import tax tracking

Managing import taxes for international orders just got easier. Bookkeep now tracks import taxes and refunds, providing accurate records of import taxes withheld by Shopify. This prevents overpayments and keeps your international accounting precise.

No subscription commitment during Shopify trials

We’ve made it easier for users coming from the Shopify App Store to try Bookkeep. You no longer need to approve a subscription upfront β€” enjoy the full trial experience without commitment. Once your trial ends or you decide to subscribe, you’ll be prompted to approve the subscription directly in Shopify.

Square fee mapping for more detail

Bookkeep now captures and allows separate mapping for Square fees, including third-party fees. For example, restaurants using delivery services can now clearly track these fees, ensuring accurate financial reporting and fewer surprises during reconciliation.

Expanded Sage Intacct support with custom dimensions

Bookkeep now supports user-defined dimensions (UDDs) in Sage Intacct, in addition to standard ones like Location and Department. This new feature provides greater customization and flexibility, letting you tailor your accounting processes to your specific needs.

Automate Sezzle deposits for easier bank reconciliation

Sezzle is a fast-growing “Buy Now, Pay Later” platform, trusted by over 40,000 merchants in the U.S. and Canada. Bookkeep now automates the posting of Sezzle deposits or settlements daily, ensuring each deposit is recorded separately for seamless bank reconciliation.
